Chelsea Preview

So here it is, many people will say there have been many already, but for me tonight is the biggest game of our season. Win and our hopes of Champions League next season are very much alive, lose and we'll have to accept that Europa League is a more than adequate ending for this season.

London has never been a happy hunting ground for the Toon Army for as long as I can remember, so a victory tonight will be doubly as hard. It's been 18 matches since Newcastle last picked up 3 points at Stamford Bridge in the league, and with Roberto Di Matteo working wonders in recent times, it will take a performance of extreme magnitude to come away victors.
But as we have seen from our side so many times this season, 'never write them off'!! Many managers have ousted their views that it will only be a matter of time before Pardew's men fall away, and frequently these managers have had to eat their own words.

If there was ever a time for the squad to stand up and show that they deserve to be playing amongst Europe's elite next season then this is it. Chelsea have been on unbelievable form with just one defeat in their last 16 matches, which included reaching the FA Cup final and knocking holders Barcelona out of the Champions League in their own back yard.

If there was one thing for Pardew to look at it would be Chelsea's lack of options at the back. With Gary Cahill and David Luiz out through injury, it leaves John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic who have played a lot of football in the last three weeks.

So Newcastle need to go to Stamford Bridge with no fear. We deserve to be in 5th place and with the amount of attacking wealth we have with the likes of Cisse, Ba and Ben Arfa, if we play to our strengths there is no reason that victory cannot be achieved.

Good luck lads, this is your moment to shine, so go and do us proud.
